Consider including chapter markers or other signposts in tutorial videos to aid students in rewatching
Plan or script your videos to reduce extraneous content and maintain student engagement
Include your face in videos to increase instructor presence and build connection with learners when telling stories or communicating simple concepts
Stay off camera when teaching particularly difficult visual or complex skills to avoid distracting your students
Make eye contact with the camera, gazing and gesturing to the desired area of focus as needed
Present with a friendly, relaxed, conversational tone and do what makes you comfortable
Speak at your normal pace and convey enthusiasm
Hand draw diagrams and problems instead of presenting static images
If possible, film demonstrations from both the first and third person perspective so learners can both watch you model the skill and see what it looks like from your angle
